Comment spam

Posted by – January 17, 2008

I had a big headache for a long time with this kind of spam in my blog, I received many alerts about new comments in my blog but when I checked the contents of these comments I saw only spam content, I could solve this problem partially by installing “Akismet”, but this plugin solved few types of comment spam and after receive a warning from my hosting provider I decided to install some other plugins like “Angsuman’s Referrer Bouncer”, “CaptCha!” and “WP-SpamFree”, now the only comments that will be added on my blogs entries will be the comments coming from people interest on this blog contents.

Looking for a new notebook

Posted by – November 2, 2007

My current notebook doesn’t fit my needs anymore, now I’m trying to find a cheap notebook that can help me in my development tasks, like create application frontends for FAST ESP or databases using Eclipse and JSF.

Unfortunately, the most powerful notebooks are very expensive in Brazil since most notebooks needs to be imported from US and other countries, the final price of each notebook is increased a lot, a US$ 1.999 notebook in US cost R$ 6.000 in Brazil, sad but true.

In the meantime, I’ll try to keep studying RoR, JSF and all .NET related stuff in my old and slow notebook.

Broadband connection over CDMA EVDO

Posted by – September 30, 2007

Yes! I can finally access Internet from my home again! I’m using a local cellular carrier solution that provides wireless connection to Internet, with a Internet connection at home I can restart my study about new technologies.

I have plans to take some time learning Flex and Ruby very soon, these technologies can be useful someday, who knows?

SOA, JBI, EDA e ESB

Posted by – August 23, 2007
